So as you may know my latest book Modern Retro Home is all about mixing old with new in your home.
As a Stylist for me its all about mixing it up creating a more eclectic look, I know this can be tricky for some but all it takes is a little confidence and remember theres no rush, so take your time.
My latest acquisition a pair of Danish Bar stools from TH Brown (original and authentic of course!) designed by Peter Brown ( son of TH Brown) work perfectly in my space – I love adding a modernist touch to an interior, my new space is a little more minimal and a big white blank canvas and these stools in tan leather and timber add warmth and earthiness to the space.
Modernist pieces like these work in any space, for me the key is to buy things that you love, to buy less but buy better in things designed to last another tip is to choose classic colours, materials and styles which means you can’t go wrong as these pieces are always in style and work easily in many situations.
Adding Modernist pieces in timber, pops of colour and in classic shapes really is about embracing timeless classic style but always with a twist!
How are you going to add a modernist touch to your space?
