So over the last few months I have donated my time, skills and contacts ( as a stylist working in the industry for over 10 years I have a really good address book) to renovate not one but two apartments on Gould Street Bondi putting in lots of time around my usual busy schedule but I’m proud to have made the time!
The project has been for Wayside Chapel ( I’m their newest ambassador) The apartments needed a lot of help, we had a modest budget but big ideas -to be honest i think this makes you get more creative! Oh and we decided to renovate all the bathrooms and kitchens!
The apartments now completed will be rented out via Airbnb and all the funds created go back directly to wayside (awesome right!) The team and I have been overwhelmed by our results, to be honest mostly to the incredible hard work of out team of four Antoine, Julia, Maggie and I together we worked some magic – Team work!
We wanted to create the best we could but I’m pretty sure we never thought they would turn out this good if I say so myself! and we were on time and on budget! I felt a little like being on the Block but with other jobs, small budgets and the same kind of deadlines but we did it!
I was able to leverage with my many industry contacts the fact that I was donating my time and wasn’t being paid for this project to gain donations and amazing discounts. To be honest I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our suppliers. Im so proud of what we have achieved and the best part is they are now ready for you to book located a short walk to Bondi beach and many cafes, bars and restaurants on Gould Street ( Bondi’s newest happening street)
